Why did TV Land cut back on “GUNSMOKE”?
TV Land is supposed to be the network for classic tv. Gunsmoke is 1 of the longest running programs ever on tv, 20 years, most as #1.. They chose to replace the weekly time slots with programs like Sanford and son, Adams family, Good times and other garbage. Gunsmoke is not just a western but a very good drama, comedy and western. TV Land has lost me as a viewer.
Maybe they are rotating the shows. With so many vintage shows to choose from, they’re probably showing the most requested shows right now. But you could go to their website and speak-out on their blog.
