Is there an audible difference between 16 gauge and 10 gauge speaker wire?
I have high quality Klipsch speakers and want them to sound as good as possible. I have a Pioneer amp model VSX 518 which is a lower-mid range one in price. I couldn’t afford to put a lot on the receiver.
It depends on the distance you’re running them. There’s a lot of flim-flam, pseudo-science and outright scamming in the speaker cable industry. Here’s a good tutorial that should cover all the basics:
