what is the difference between cord edema and cord compression?
I have a situation where my C5-C6 disc is PRESSING on my spinal cord – based on the MRI report, my C4-C5 and C6-C7 discs are the same “cord edema” – the surgeon wants to remove 3 disks, from C4-C7 – I’m thinking just removing C5-C6 would remove 80-90% of the pain, plus the numbness in my right hand and arm. When I had professional traction treatments, the pain went from a 9 1/2 to a 1 in terms of degree.
