Hi i own a Jungle Carpet Python I was just Wondering, Without glove Does a Adult JCP Bite Hurt?
I personally think it depends on what you think hurts. It will sting a little and will break skin. if they coil while biting instead of a bite and release it will sting a little more because of they pressure. Since their teath are serated and curved if you pull away instead of pealing them off you will have scratches/cuts instead of just puncture wounds. Personally I have yet to be bit by a carpet python and have it hurt. Like I said it will sting but in my opinion it won’t hurt. The only snake bite that has hurt was one from a very angry 16 foot retic, and even that doesn’t hurt as bad as most mammal bites or other reptiles like large monitors or crocodilians. If you’re really worried about it get it over with handle him with out gloves and hopefully he doesn’t bite but if he does you’ll see it’s not that bad then you won’t fear it anymore.
