Making long leather gloves a tighter fit?
My wife has a pair of unlined leather gloves like these

Basically,they are a little loose at the tops and tend to slide down her forearms.
Is there any way to fix this problem by shrinking them at the top or would they need to be rectified by a tailor
If you shrink them by washing them with special leather cleaner they will shrink a bit, but they usualy extend to their prior size, at least if the leather is stretched by putting on the gloves. This way of shrinking wont damage the leather. But I think the best effect would have the alteration of the gloves. But I am nut sure if this would not cost nearly the same like if you get new custom made leather gloves for her.
