Metallica’s best selling album was their 5th album, Metallica, or The Black Album, which was released in 1991. So now you add the sum.
1+9+9+1 = 20!
Now subtract 20 from 64.
64 – 20 = 44
Now you have to figure out how many people escaped Alcatraz, which you can find out in one of the Mythbusters episodes, “Escape From Alcatraz”. Only 3 people were able to escape and survive. So subtract 3 from 44.
44 – 3 = 41
Now you have X! The 41st president was George H. W. Bush.
Now figuring out the last one is easy! All you have to do now is figure out Y! The answer to life the universe and everything equals 42. Now you just add 1!
42 + 1 = 43
