Can you play freshman lacrosse or football when your in 7th/8th grade?
I was wondering if you could play freshman lacrosse or football when your in 7th or 8th grade because i was held back a year so when I’m in 8th grade it will be as if I’m a freshman. I dont care what you say to my question by the way feel free to answear. Thank you for replying.
Well, I know a guy who was on the high school hockey team when he was in middle school. But that’s because (1) he was really good, and (2) there weren’t enough hockey players in the high school. You’d have to talk to your high school and see what they say. I’m guessing you won’t have much luck with football, because there are so many freshmen wanting to play already. Lacrosse, maybe… it just depends on how popular it is where you live, and what the school’s rules are.
If it were up to me, though, I’d let you. I think it’s important for guys your age to play on teams with their own age group. Where I live, a lot of parents purposely hold their kids back just so they’ll be bigger and stronger than their classmates and have a better chance of making a sports team. So the 7th grade teams are filled up with guys who should really be in 8th grade. And that’s not fair to the other 7th graders – especially the little guys who haven’t hit their growth spurts yet. They just can’t compete with the older, bigger guys. So they don’t get to play on the team that’s meant to be for them. I know this has nothing to do with your question, but you did say that you don’t care how we answer your question! So thanks for the opportunity to state my opinion! =]
