A boss lady at work is always asking us to pitch in on gifts for people I dont know.. How do I say no?
She does this all the time and I’m sick of it. I just don’t know how to say no.
Every time a girl gets pregnant or its the bosses birthday etc…(no matter wether its in our office or a satellite office she orders a bunch of baby stuff and then without asking hands out bills to everyone letting them know how much it is (split up amongst the office staff)
I’m just getting sick of being nickeled and dimed…..
I have a feeling you will not be the only one in the office who objects to this.
Maybe get a team of you together and tell your manager of your concerns. what you will and won’t give money for. It is a very reasonable request, she has no idea of peoples’ financial situation for one and two it is rude to just ask for money from people without asking first.
The manager should tell her confidentially that people have been objecting and she should stop.
