What equipment do you carry on your Fire Turnout Gear/Helmet?
I’am in a program with my local Fire Department called Future Firefighters. All we pretty much do is Train and what not for when we actually do become Junior Firefighters or Firefighters. Right now I have 20 feet of webbing w/ carrabiner (Cant spell), a back-up flashlight, rubber gloves on my suspender strap (in a case), 2 wedges, a folding spanner wrench, 20 feet of rope, extrication gloves on a glove leash, and interior gloves in my coat pocket.
I need some more ideas on what else I can put in my gear. Any suggestions? Thanks fellas.

The only other thing I would recommend that you carry is a set of bull-nose pliers or a pair of cable cutters. I carry the cable cutters because I can cut battery cables on cars before beginning extrication and during structure fires, should i become entangled, I can use them to cut wires with. I also agree, don’t carry rubber gloves in your gear. They tend to melt from the heat.
