What’s the biggest shirt size you can buy in Japan?

I know that sizes in Japan are a size smaller than here (IE a small here is an extra small in Japan), but what’s the biggest size shirt available to buy in Japan?

Depends on what kind of clothes you want to buy. There are american and european based companies there that will have larger clothes sizes than some japanese company. But also, there are some companies that have omitted the large and extra large so they only have small and medium. But in other stores, I think small, medium and large are the basics with XL being a little bit harder to find. I haven’t heard of a 2X from a japanese based company but then again, I never had to look for it. There probably little specialty shops that carry larger sizes because there are overweight people there, just not as many as in america. I don’t know if they go to the foreign-based stores or not.

I think it’s really sad that Japan has a lot of really really cute clothes but they are just sooo small. I mean, I’m even japanese and I wear a small most of the time in US sizes, with occasionally having to wear mediums but in Japan, I am either a large or extra large because I have curves. Apparently hips are not “in” there.
