Wilson is finally settling into a groove and he’s surrounded by people who support him artistically instead of trying to force him to write a carbon copy of a 60s surf/car song that wouldn’t be a hit in the 2000s anyway.
Also, the writing on the new album THAT LUCKY OLD SUN looks like it will be very personal so I’m pretty stoked to hear it. He had a nice writeup in USA Today the other day for it.
If anyone should stop doing gigs, it’s the “Beach Boys”. A band without any Wilson brothers in it is NOT the Beach Boys.
