a clutch doesn’t have a strap on it.. you just clutch it…. a wristlet should have a small strap so you can put it around your wrist and not have to hold it the whole time…. i don’t think there is a specific occasion that one or the other is appropriate… just depends on what you are wearing and how much ‘gear’ you need…. i rarely use either because i am always toting around a bunch of crap with me but i think they are cute
